According to the Portuguese Institute of Atmosphere and Sea website, two earthquakes have rippled around Madeira in the last two days.
The first was on the 30th of April at 07:05. The earthquake occurred to the northwest of Porto Moniz and registered 2.0 on the Richter Scale.
The second occurred this morning at 04:48, registering 2.8 on the Richter Scale, and had a depth of 25 km. This again was to the northwest of Porto Moniz.
In total, four mini-earthquakes have occurred in the archipelago since the 20th of April.
