The services of the Caixa Geral de Depósitos (CGD) App service were severely affected throughout the day.
CGD customers who tried to enter the Caixadireto application confirmed to journalists that they were surprised when they received the following message: “Failure. It is not possible to access the app at this time. Please try later.”
The bank’s website was also been experiencing customer access problems. However, telephone services and bank branches are operating normally.
Caixa Geral de Depósitos has assured that the problems are ‘in-house- and not the result of a cyber attack. “We have the teams working to resolve the issue as soon as possible,” said CGD’s official source.
At 18:00, there were still access problems.
