The Regional Centre of the Portuguese League Against Cancer – Madeira branch will hold on Wednesday, the 1st of March a presentation titled “Have you thought about your intestines today?” As part of colorectal cancer prevention month.
Colorectal cancer is a preventable and treatable disease. However, it is one of the most prevalent cancers in Portugal, with eleven sufferers dying from the disease daily.
Last year, working in partnership with SESARAM, the Regional Centre of the Portuguese League Against Cancer – Madeira branch launched their ‘Blue March’ campaign; aiming at educating the general public about prevention and early diagnosis of the disease.
