The Regional Economic Activities Authority (ARAE) and the Public Security Police (PSP) carried out a joint surveillance operation in several establishments selling cannabis-derived products.
According to Luís Miguel Rosa, five stores, four in Funchal and one in Ponta do Sol were inspected which identified several illegalities, and at least 30 products were seized. These could not be sold due to inadequate or no labelling.
The inspections were carried out to ensure conformity of product origin and food safety.
