When questioned by reporters this morning, the Mayor of Funchal, Pedro Calado, refused to elaborate on the investigation of former Funchal Mayor Paulo Cafôfo, but stressed: “what needs to be investigated will be investigated.”
Furthermore, the current Mayor advised that the municipality will ensure total collaboration with the authorities and make sure that all information needed is readily available.
On the issue related to ARM (Águas e Residuos da Madeira), he stressed that it was an old subject, and that irregularities had been identified and had been passed on to the competent authorities.
