Users of the Regional Health Service who have the ‘Special Reimbursement Card’ now need to renew their card through the Institute of Health Administration, IP-RAM (IASAÚDE, IP-RAM).
Between January and December 2022, more than 90 new cards were issued and more than 900 renewals were carried out.
Furthermore, the Regional Health Secretary said that “for 2023, they are planning on reviewing and updating access and support granted through the “Special Reimbursement Card,” which will establish the increase in the value of reimbursements of specialty medical consultations at all levels, with the aim of supporting the well-being of families.”
This measure allows users of the Regional Health Service, in particular pensioners and employees, whose income is below the regional minimum wage, to receive additional reimbursements in the context of health expenditure on medical consultations.
