The Captaincy of the Port of Funchal, through the Portuguese Institute of Atmosphere and Sea (IPMA), has extended the strong wind and maritime agitation warnings until 18:00 tomorrow.
The Captaincy recommends that the owners and boat owners take appropriate precautions in order to ensure their safety.
Wind: NW fresh to strong, sometimes very strong during the early hours of the morning, decreasing to cool to cold from the afternoon.
Visibility: Good to moderate.
Waves: North Coast: Waves NW 4 to 5 M, temporarily 4.5 to 5.5 M.
South Coast: Waves SW 3.5 to 4.5 M.
