A team of Public Security Police officers accompanied by the Rapid Intervention Brigade (BIR) personnel blocked access to the Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital this evening.
The initial news is that some SESARAM professionals have been prevented from entering the building as all entrances and exits have been shut off.
Later reports state that a fire alarm was triggered due to an electrical fault, causing the hospital to go into lockdown as per emergency protocols.
Everything is now back to normal.
