Christmas Campaign Helps Buy Medicines For Those in Need

The solidarity fundraising campaign ‘Give Change to Those In Need,’ promoted by the Dignitude Association starts today in all participating pharmacies across Madeira, and ends on the 21st of December.

The initiative invites everyone to donate any change left from their purchases to their pharmacy. This money will then be used to help families in need to buy prescription drugs.

Showing his support for the programme, the Mayor of Santa Cruz, Filipe Sousa said:

“Due to the social crisis we are suffering, there are more and more people struggling to access the medicines they need to live. Each of us can help by donating any change from our purchases at participating pharmacies in favour of the Abem Programme: Drug Solidarity Network. Together we can make a difference.”

“The Christmas Campaign ‘Give Change to Those In Need’ has already transformed lives. With everyone’s support, we can transform many more!” Stated Maria da Graça Freitas from the Camacha Pharmacy.

It is also possible to support this initiative at any time, through:
– Bank transfer to IBAN: PT50 0036 0000 9910 5914 8992 7
– MB WAY: 932 440 068

Once the transfer is complete, all you need to do is send proof of payment, your name, and NIF number to geral@dignitude.org so that they can confirm receipt of payment.
