Week Closes With Another Earthquake

Last night, the Portuguese Institute of Atmosphere and Sea (IPMA), recorded a 2.8 magnitude earthquake in the Madeira Tore zone, located off the north coast of Porto Moniz, at 19:46.

The earthquake had a depth of 35 km, and due to its location would not have been felt.

What is interesting is the layout of the recent earthquakes, as three are to the north of Madeira (Madeira Tore), while the remaining four are to the northeast, creating a ‘V’ shape pattern.
