SESARAM has admitted that of the 33 ambulances they own, only 17 are operational, 7 are undergoing repairs and the remaining 9 are to be scrapped. They have promised to strengthen their resources over the next three years.
But it is not just the ambulance service that is struggling. Firefighters have said that they are using old vehicles and that citizens are beginning to complain about emergency response times.
