On the 9th of November, the banking entity responsible for processing Continente Pay transactions had a bit of a meltdown, and some customer accounts were credited, not debited. The incident involved customers across national territories including Madeira.
The Supermarket chain reported that this was a temporary error and, that all customer data remains safe. Any monies incorrectly transferred money will now become void.
