A male tourist became lost while walking along the Bica da Cana pedestrian route last night.
On receiving a distress call at 18:00, the emergency services were immediately dispatched to the area, and a rescue operation was put into effect. The man was found at around 23:00 by officers from the Ribeira Brava and Ponta do Sol Volunteer Firefighters.
According to a source, the man was well and unharmed.
