Many of you may have noticed the Bolt logo on the side of some of the taxis operating in Madeira. This is because Bolt and TáxisRAM have taken another step in their partnership, after their pilot project, which was launched in July, was so successful.
Since last Friday there are 34 taxis displaying the Bolt logo. The agreement has more relevance in legislative terms, since Bolt, who has been operating for over five years in Portugal cannot by law advertise TVDE vehicles. However, a loophole has been found where it is possible to advertise TVDE services on the side of taxis.
Nuno Inácio, of Bolt Portugal affirmed:
“We continue to bring together the best of both worlds through this partnership with TáxisRAM, providing Madeirans and those who visit the island with the best transport options. This partnership makes us stronger (Bolt and TáxisRAM), and we will continue to work to create a better future for all of us, and who knows, we may be able to promote this initiative in the national territory.
Responding to this, the President of TáxisRAM, Paulo Pereira said:
“The TáxisRAM Association has seen this association and merger of services with Bolt as a beneficial step forward for all parties involved. The partnership with Bolt has shown that the mobility market in the Autonomous Region of Madeira has the full potential to react with the adaptability necessary to meet the population’s needs. The greater exposure to taxi drivers, resulting from this, will further boost the synergy that was clearly lacking within the sector, as well as allow for growth, even in these difficult times.”
