A 61-year-old French national died this morning in Estrada dos Marmeleiros after suffering a heart attack.
The Madeiran Volunteer Firefighters (BVM) were alerted at 2:20 a.m. this morning that a man was struggling to breathe at his home. Shortly afterwards he suffered a heart attack, and despite the best efforts of the BVM and EMIR team, who worked solidly for an hour to save his life, he died.
