This weekend, Forum Madeira will be hosting a fencing demonstration and try-out.
Being a family-orientated centre, they are holding and promoting sports activities that can be adapted for all ages, and fencing is one of them. Furthermore, the sport contributes to the improvement of motor coordination, concentration capacity, and mental and technical agility.
The demonstrations will take place, over the weekend (15th & 16th) in the Forum Madeira Central Square, from 11:00 to 13:00 and from 15:00 to 19:00. There is no need to register in advance, and the initiative is being held in partnership with the Clube Desportivo 1º de Maio, who have a training room – Sebastião Herédia Esgrima Room – at Jaime Liceu Moniz school. They will also be able to provide additional information about the sport.
Both the demonstration and try-out are free.
