Despite other European nations adopting a more laissez-faire approach to Covid –19 cases, the President of Madeira has confirmed that all those suffering from symptoms of the SARS–CoV–2 virus will remain in isolation for five days.
The president of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque, this weekend reiterated that the current situation will remain unchanged, but that “the Regional Health Directorate will rule further on this.”
It should be noted that, on the continent, as of 00:00 yesterday, those infected with Covid-19 are no longer obliged to comply with a period of isolation.
Furthermore, the use of masks in health establishments and services and in homes will remain mandatory.
