Police Raid at Santo da Serra Market

The Public Security Police (PSP), raided the Santo da Serra weekly market this morning seizing several articles, allegedly counterfeit.

Taking part in a criminal investigation operation on counterfeit goods, the police and ARAE inspectors seized items of clothing, a pair of trainers, equipment and material all carrying international brand logos, and all of which were believed to be knock offs.

The surprise raid was carried out by the Criminal Investigation Department of the Police Division of Machico, and several inspectors from the Regional Authority for Economic Activities (ARAE).
