July’s Covid-19 mortality rate showed significant improvements to that of June, with 20 fewer fatalities, leaving the monthly figure at 35 deaths.
According to the Covid-19 Epidemiological Surveillance Bulletin, released this Saturday by the Regional Secretary for Health and Civil Protection, for July 2022, Madeira recorded 4,940 confirmed cases of covid-19 this month, representing an average of 159 cases per day, compared to June’s figure of 491 recorded daily infections.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, until the 31st of July, the Region has recorded 137,554 confirmed cases, 375 deaths, and a total of 136,632 recovered cases.
The number of tests carried out in the Region until the end of July, stood at 2,806,101.
