New Draft Legislation for Pedestrian Routes

The Specialised Committee on Resources and Environment today sent for Plenary debate two draft regional legislative decrees, by the PS and the PSD, which aim to introduce new rules applicable to pedestrian routes.

The diplomas will be debated at the start of the IV Legislative Session, whose first debate will take place on September 20th. Hearings were made to ACIF – Funchal Commercial and Industrial Association, to AMRAM – Madeira Municipalities Association and to the Forestry and Nature Conservation Institute.

Nuno Maciel, President of the Commission, highlighted the work developed by this group of deputies, stating. “Contributions that could enrich the final diploma, for the creation of a new legal regime in the Autonomous Region of Madeira for pedestrian routes.  We need too know more, which is why we have submitted the two proposals so that they can be debated and give us the opportunity to lister to other people so that we can best respond to the needs of the matter under consideration.”

The commission also decided to listen to the Association of Municipalities of Madeira on the possibility of creating an animal sterilization campaign in the Region next year, as well as the creation of a regional network of environmental micro-reserves.
