Today the CDU carried out their new ‘Mentirometer’ in the municipality of Funchal. This time, they wanted to uncover the broken promises made by the Funchal City Council (CMF),over the last couple of years, regarding their failure to solve the areas basic sanitation problems.
In an initiative, which took place in Santa Quitéria, in the parish of Santo António, Herlanda Amado, deputy of the CDU in the Municipal Assembly of Funchal, said that “the Funchal Chamber, having promised to solve sewage problems, has been continuously backtracking with no resolution in sight. The truth is that the resolution of the sewage problems within Funchal, especially in the areas of Santa Quitéria, Viana or Alecrins, is nothing but vague promise on the wind.”
