A search and rescue mission has been launched to find a lost walker. The tourist, is lost in an area very close to Achadas do Teixeira, the starting point for Pico Ruivo.
According to local newspaper, JM, the walker became lost a few kilometers from the main road, on a path where, at the moment, it is forbidden to enter. The man raised the alert yesterday evening, and the Santana Volunteer Firefighters mountain rescue and rescue team, and a Forest Police patrol team are currently searching for him.
