The Captaincy of the Port of Funchal has issued a strong wind warning which will affect the island until 18:00 tomorrow evening.
Wind: SW becoming strong at times.
Visibility: Good to moderate, sometimes poor at first.
Waves:
– North Coast: West quadrant waves 2 to 3 meters, increasing to 3 to 4 meters later in the day.
– South Coast: Southwest waves 1.5 to 2 meters, increasing to 2 to 2.5 later on in the day.
It is recommended that all ship and boat owners adopt the necessary precautions in order to guarantee their vessels safety.
