Until the 27th of May (Heart Month), the Health Literacy programme, ‘Missão Ilhafarma – Your Health, Our Mission,’ will develop a series of events in order to raise awareness of Auricular Fibrillation.
This initiative is in partnership with iPACT (International Pharmacists Anticoagulation Care Taskforce) and with the AA/AFA (Arrythmia Allianc and Atrial Fibrillation Association), who will carry out atrial fibrillation screening at CaniçoShopping tomorrow, between 9 am to 1 pm and at the Portuguese Pharmacy between 9 am to 6 pm.
The screening will also take place at Largo do Chafariz, on the 27th.
Every 15 seconds a person suffers a stroke due to Atrial Fibrillation, which affects 4 out of 100 people aged 65 years and over.
