Sixteen years after the formal presentation of the Ponta do Pargo golf course, designed by Nick Faldo, the Regional Government has decided to invest 1.5 million euros to complete the enclosure and proceed with the preparation of an urbanisation plan.
The next step will be the sale of the real estate area, and subsequent concession to the private sector, in order to guarantee the necessary financing for the completion of the work.
With three private golf courses already, and with so many potentially talented children/youngsters living on the island, I still believe that this golf course project should become public not private.
