Fuel prices in the Region will not change this week. Therefore, as of tomorrow, the price of 95-octane unleaded gasoline will remain at 1.858 euros per litre, while diesel remains steady at 1.755 euros and 1.294 euros for coloured diesel.
Thus, according to the Regional Secretary for the Economy, Rui Barreto, it will now cost almost 10 euros less for diesel and 6 euros less for 95 petrol to fill a 50 litre tank. He went on to say that the Regional Government has already lowered the Tax on Petroleum Products (ISP) up to the maximum limit allowed by law, with regards to diesel, which is the most popular and sold fuel in the Madeiran archipelago.
