An 45-year-old man was robbed and assaulted on Thursday night, after 11 pm in Rua 31 de Janeiro, Funchal.
The man, who was attacked by a stranger, ended up being brutally assaulted, and was given immediate assistance by a Portuguese Red Cross team who were called to the scene, while the victim complained of several injuries to his chest and back.
Later on, a hospital source told JM, that the man had been violently attacked, and was suffering from serious back injuries.
