Eight restaurants on the island have won a distinction with Stars by the renowned restaurant guide. Quite a feat!
They are: in Funchal:
“Armazém do Sal” (Salt Storehouse), off Rua da Alfandega
“Casal da Penha” in Beco da Adelaide, this is in the area behind the new Savoy Palace
“William” in Reid’s Palace Hotel
“Villa Cipriani” and “Avista” are on Estrada Monumental between Reid’s Hotel and Cliff Bay Resort
“Il Gallo d’Ouro” in Cliff Bay Resort
“The Dining Room” in the Manor House of Hotel Casa Branca in Rua da Casa Branca
In Cãmara de Lobos, we find “Villa do Peixe” above the Centre of Town.
