Another promotion is on the way to show solidarity for persons with financial difficulties. Many residents, especially senior citizens with a small pension, need a lot of need medicine, and although the Social Security system is helping with most of the cost, the sheer volume of pill boxes and salves needed, may overwhelm their purses. Not buying the medicine may result in bad aftereffects later. Now the “Dignity Association” is organizing again a campaign in 16 pharmacies to help with small change. When well-off residents buy their goods, they can leave the “troco” change in a dedicated box on the pharmacy counter. With the money collected during the campaign (from Dec 13 until Dec 21) the “ABEM: “ Program will help 1.310 inscribed families to adequately cover their medical coasts.
