The “Orfeão Madeirense” has organized the 24th Christmas Choir Festiva in Funchal. Five choir groups are taking part: Orfeão Madeirense, Group Coral da Casa do Povo, Camacha, Group Coral da Casa do Povo, São Roque do Faial, Group Coral do Arco da Calheta and as guest visitors, the choir of Coral Sant’Ana from the mainland. Here is the program:
December 16, at 7 pm, at the “Mercado de Natal”, Av. Arriaga
December 18, at 21.30pm, at University Church
December 19 at 7pm at the at the “Mercado de Natal”, Av. Arriaga
The Festival resumes its concerts after Christmas:
December 29 at 9.30 pm at the Cathedral of Funchal
Closing Concert:
December 30 at 9.30 pm, at University Church.
“Christmas in Funchal” is a landmark in the city’s musical panorama at this time of year and aims to provide relaxing moments for its audience through the Christmas songs performed by the participating choirs. Visitors: pay attention to the current safety rules.
