Yesterday morning, journalists from local newspaper JM were out and about seeing how the new pandemic health and safety rules were being applied in supermarkets across the capital.
Pingo Doce security guards were seen inspecting vaccination certificates or proof of a negative TRag (antigen) test, and then allowing customers in, one by one.
One of the consumers, outside, told JM that she only came to accompany her husband, who went inside alone. The same woman stated that she prefers to avoid large spaces, even though she has been vaccinated and has had her weekly antigen test.
