A disagreement between two individuals on Rua Dom Carlos I, Funchal, next to the cable car station, ended with one man being stabbed in the back.
The verbal and physical discussion resulted in a somewhat serious wound, as a 49-year-old man had to be immediately assisted by a Rapid Intervention Medical Team (EMIR), and a pre-hospital team from the Madeira Volunteer Firefighters (BVM), who provided assistance and transported the wounded man to hospital.
The police were called to the scene, and took care of the incident.
