A man in his thirties was found dead this afternoon in the Mãe de Deus area of Caniço.
The Public Security Police (PSP), are investigating the incident, as the cause of death remains unknown. The area was closed off while police and firefighters waited for the coroner to arrive to certify the death and allow the body to be removed.
The incident has caused a lot of consternation among neighbours, as the man was well liked.
