Tomorrow, the 4th of November, the Funchal City Council (CMF), through their Urban Gardens and Green Spaces Division, will fell a plane tree (Platanus hispanica) on Rua D. Carlos I, between 8 am and 6 pm.
According to a municipality statement, “the respective specimen has a set of phytosanitary and biomechanical defects, as well as low vitality which, in the short term, can contribute to a reduced life expectancy, and therefore it is preferable to fell the tree now before it becomes a problem.”
The Public Security Police (PSP) will be in attendance to guide traffic.
