“Madeira is safer, as we have remained vigilant and continue to test those who have not been vaccinated, or those whose vaccinations are not recognised by the EU.”
This statement was made by the Regional Health Secretary, Pedro Ramos, who outlined his experiences on a recent trip to the mainland, where he found that Covid controls had been eliminated, and could only feel that the pandemic had only hit Madeira and not the rest of Portugal.
He also commented that when the Regional Government decided to vaccinate as many young people as possible the Mainland Government created a 15-day national scandal, and then decided that it was a good idea, and implemented the policy themselves.
All in all, inferred Pedro Ramos, we are working hard to protect the island and its people!
