The Firefighters Sapadores of Funchal were called out to a property in Amparo recently, as neighbours had not seen the mother and daughter for a few days.
On arrival, firefighters found both the mother and daughter dead. On further investigation the Public Security Police (PSP) ruled out any foul play, although they are continuing to investigate the incident.
The bodies of the two women were then transported to the Madeira Legal and Forensic Medicine Office, and autopsies into the cause of death will be carried out.
