An article published in British magazine, ‘House & Garden,’ promotes Madeira as a destination that has reinvented itself over the last two decades, and an “ideal” post-confinement holiday destination.
The author, Mark Jones, writes of his experience of returning to the island 20 years after his initial visit. Major changes include the abundance of tunnels, easier travelling conditions, and the desire to attract younger and more adventurous tourists through more diversified mountain and sea leisure activities.
Madeira is described as an island with multiple microclimates, and two distinct regions; the suburban south, and the subtropical wilder north.
