Eye witness accounts state, that the behaviour of the man who jumped from the Ribeiro Seco Bridge, Funchal, this afternoon, changed moments before the tragedy happened.
Both firefighters and the police rushed to the scene of the incident, but the man was found dead in the stream below.
His body was later moved to a nearby car park where he was officially declared dead by the attending coroner.
