A stunning photograph of Madeira has made it to the finals in the United Nations World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) 2022 Calendar competition.
Titled ‘Sunrise on the island of Madeira,’ the photograph, which was taken by Emanuel França Gouveia, was taken at a altitude of 1,700 m, where already a group of people were clustered together, as they watched the sun rise.
The photograph was one of 60 finalists selected from 1,127 entries.
