At this morning’s Plenary session, the Socialist Party (PS) representative, Élvio Jesus, presented a draft resolution entitled ‘Measures for evaluating the experience and results reported by patients from the Regional Health Service.’
During his presentation, Élvio Jesus, stated that this in an essential step in healthcare improvement, especially with regards to primary health care and service provision. This is particularly important, he stressed, as many of the services provided are rarely ‘measured in a systematic and rigorous way.’
Other areas under investigation are ‘waiting times, healthcare communication and returning home preparation and support.
