The Regional Government has already confirmed that it is no longer mandatory, but recommended, to wear a mask while walking along a public road.
The restriction, which came into force in April 2020, has created controversy both with residents and visitors to the island. However, while in Funchal this afternoon, it was interesting to see the number of people, from all age groups, who were still wearing a mask.
