Easing Covid Restrictions – This Will Take Time

Currently no dates have been proposed or agreed as to when Covid restrictions will be eased or removed in Madeira.  However, the President, Miguel Albuquerque, recently stated that nothing will re-open until after the Flower Festival.

Regarding the alleviation of restrictions, the Regional Government will only make a decision when the daily active Covid figures remain stable or decrease.  Either way, the President of Madeira is not in a hurry to do anything that could jeopardise all that has been achieved over the past months by the people and the government of Madeira.
