Tomorrow at 5 pm, the President of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque, will award nineteen Tourist Medals of Merit at a ceremony held at the Quinta das Cruzes Museum.
First awarded in August 1979, the medals are divided into three categories – gold, silver and bronze – and are awarded to tourism professionals and companies for their professionalism, dedication and dedication to the tourism industry.
Gold Medal – For exceptional services provided are awarded to:
– Norberto Ascensão Abreu de Sousa;
– J. Donald Silva;
– José Avelino Rodrigues.
Silver Medal – For important services rendered will be presented to:
– Sea Dourado – Maritime-Touristic Activities, Ltd.;
– Maria Fátima Araújo de Barros Ferreira;
– Maria Luísa de Freitas Silvestre Correia;
– Carlos Duarte Aveiro Freitas;
– José Manuel Sardinha;
– José Manuel da Silva Sousa;
Bronze Medal – For significant services rendered will be awarded to:
– Conceição Dina Nunes Freitas Pinto;
– Martinho Figueira Faria;
– Inácio Rogério de Freitas;
– Maria Isalina Oliveira Batista;
– Manuel Fernando Soares Teodoro;
