A group of young people have been placed in isolation in a hotel in Porto Santo, as they were closely connected to a person who tested positive yesterday. The case has caused consternation between the group and residents, as the group were on holiday, and had visited several establishments in the town centre of Vila Baleira.
The Director for the Health Centre, Rogério Correia, confirmed that in addition to the two already active cases, the island has now registered a further 15 cases, but this was perfectly acceptable and controllable, as the island is currently home to some 30,000 visitors.
