Today’s AstraZeneca Vaccination ‘Open Day’ at the Funchal Technopolo was a great success, as by 6 pm this evening, the centre had vaccinated 1,000 people (600 first dose, 400 second dose).
Attending today’s session were the Regional Secretary of Health and Civil Protection, Pedro Ramos, and the Regional Director of Health, Herberto Jesus, who took the opportunity to talk to some of those waiting to be vaccinated.
Interestingly, the session mainly attracted young people, and due to its success a second ‘drop in’ session has been scheduled for the 27th of July.
The vaccination process is simple, there is no need to book, and is intended for all citizens and residents of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, aged 18 years or over, who have not yet been vaccinated.
Now is the time, and if you haven’t been vaccinated, please make good use of the next ‘drop in’ session, especially as the number of daily cases is increasing.
