The Portuguese Institute of Atmosphere and Sea (IPMA), have confirmed that they have recorded two earthquakes in two days.
The first took place at 20:21 off the northwest coast of Porto Moniz, measuring 2.3 on the Richter scale on the 18th of July. While a second, 2.9 earthquake was recorded at 02:33 this morning (19.07), off the northeast coast of Porto Santo at a depth of 20 km.
