The Regional Authority for Economic Activities (ARAE) arrived in Porto Santo today to carry out a final kitchen and food inspection at an undisclosed hotel.
Apparently, two weeks ago, a customer filed a complaint saying that he had suffered from food poisoning after eating in the hotel. As ARAE officers were already in Porto Santo, the complaint was acted on immediately and today, ARAE personnel and members from the Porto Santo Health Team worked in conjunction with the hotel’s employees to ensure that all food items are handled and stored correctly.
It was good news, as no breaches in hygiene rules were detected.
