Coastal Pollution Controls Tightened

During the first six months of this year, over one hundred complaints have been made about coastal pollution, and about fifty-five clear-up operations have taken place.  Due to this, and the increased focus and awareness of the detrimental effects of marine pollution, technical teams from the Environment Directorate and from the municipalities are increasing the number of inspections they carry out in problem areas.
