The Mainland Government announced yesterday that it will be mandatory to undertake a Covid test in order to attend sporting, cultural and family events, including weddings and christenings.
At a press conference held today, the Minister of State, declared that all companies who have more than 150 employees working in the same area must also ensure that all their staff are tested, the cost of which, will be borne by the company.
The original article then became unclear, but what is clear is that the Mainland Government is determined to get on top of their Covid figures, as 890 new cases in Portugal were recorded yesterday.
There was no mention as to whether these rulings will also apply to Madeira, especially as the Regional Government has already implemented a free antigen testing strategy to safeguard the population.
