The Mayor of Funchal, Miguel Silva Gouveia, accompanied by councillor Dina Letra, who oversees the Municipal Markets, were present this morning at the Mercado dos Lavradores, for the opening of the 6th edition of the Chocolate Market which will run until Wednesday the 7th of April.
While talking to journalists, the Mayor said “the return of this event is a way of showing confidence not only to all those who visit our city, but also in the resumption of commercial activity. Last year we did not hold this fair because we were quarantined in our homes, and we hope that this sixth edition of the Chocolate Market will show that we are moving towards a more active local economy.”
The VI Edition of the Chocolate Market is open from 9 am to 6 pm on the ground floor and on the terrace of Mercado dos Lavradores. There are eleven traders including: Uau Cacau, Professional School of Hotel and Tourism of Madeira, Mr. Brigadeiro, Micas & Pitta’s, Crepe Mania, Ignácias, Lulu Brigadeiros, Nelma Costa, Oh my dough! Lu sighs and My Screw.
